The NHTM Board of Directors is thrilled to host a book study focusing on Pam Harris' book, "Developing Mathematical Reasoning".  The book study will take place on Tuesday evenings over six monthly sessions, beginning on January 20th.

Books will be provided at no cost to the first 55 registrants, with priority given to NHTM members.  Non-members will be able to register for a complimentary book after December 23rd, while supplies last.

Check out these opportunities!

  • The MLC leadership team would like to invite high school mathematics teachers to join the New Hampshire Math Learning Community for a three-day Consortium, June 22-24th in Plymouth State University.

Too many of New Hampshire’s students do well in high school math but struggle when they transition to postsecondary educational pathways. The first two days of the event will bring together leaders from the NH State Department of Education, high school mathematics teachers, community college faculty, and university faculty to discuss what changes might better support students. We hope to spur more students to take (and pass!) introductory college-level math courses, including in the dual credit space. Studies consistently show that instead of serving as gatekeepers, these courses can serve as catapults, propelling students toward greater degree attainment.

On the third day, we will have a conference-style program designed specifically for high school teachers. We will have a keynote, with a few breakout sessions, and conclude the day at 2 pm.

Look for an announcement later in April with registration details. For now, save the date and see logistical details below:

    • Date: June 22 through June 24, 2026
    • Location: Plymouth State University 17 High Street Plymouth, NH 03264-1595
