NHTM Mathematics Education Major, Mathematics Major, and Elementary Education Scholarship
(College Student)

 

The New Hampshire Teachers of Mathematics are pleased to offer a $1000 scholarship to a New Hampshire student preparing for certification to teach mathematics.

 

Eligibility

  • New Hampshire resident or students attending a New Hampshire institution of higher education (preference given to students meeting both criteria)

  • enrolled in a certification program for middle school or secondary mathematics education; or elementary education (PreK-6); or mathematics with the intent of becoming a mathematics teacher

  • junior or senior status in 2024-2025 Academic Year

Selection Criteria

  •academic achievement

  •evidence of promise as a teacher of mathematics

  •statement of financial need

  3. Email or mail two letters of recommendation

  4. Email or mail a statement of financial need

Awarding of Scholarship:

The recipient will be notified by May 31. The award will be issued to the recipient’s college as payment toward fall 2024 semester tuition.

 

The deadline to apply is May 1.
