Make Friends with Algebra Using Picture and Words

Do your students struggle with algebraic formulas and procedures? Let’s get together to explore how making connections between numerical fluency, precise use of mathematical language, and geometric representations can help make sense of algebraic symbols.

You will be able to use these strategies and activities in your next math class!

The workshop will be facilitated by NH Teachers of Mathematics (NHTM) President Natalya Vinogradova.

Professional development certificates will be available.

Audience:  Teachers w/ focus for grades 6 - 12

When: February 16 (Thursday) 2023  4:00pm – 6:00pm  (Snack will be provided)

It is being planned to offer the workshop again on 16 march at the NH Department of Education, 25 Hall Street in Concord.
