Workshop title: Make Friends with Algebra Using Picture and Words
Workshop description: Do your students struggle with algebraic formulas and procedures? Let’s get together to explore how making connections between numerical fluency, precise use of mathematical language, and geometric representations can help make sense of algebraic symbols. You will be able to use these strategies and activities in your next math class!
The workshop will be facilitated by NH Teachers of Mathematics (NHMT) President Natalya Vinogradova.
Professional development certificates will be available.
Audience: Teachers w/ focus for grades 6 - 12
